Embroidery dress "Kozachka" ocher

The embroidered dress "Kozachka" carries the spirit of Cossack heritage. The floral ornament is the most popular element of traditional Ukrainian embroidery and the most favourite one. Apart from being attractive, it has always conveyed a deep symbolic meaning. Thus, Ukrainian clothing displays pomegranates, like on the dress Cozachka. This pattern is characteristic of the embroidered clothes of Cossacks’ leaders. The story behind it is quite simple. Travelling a lot, Cossacks brought home delicious presents including this exotic fruit. Ukrainian beauties loved it not only for its taste but the way it looked as well. So, why not depict it on embroidered attires?

Borrowing the idea from Cossacks’ wives, we created the dress Cozachka. We executed it in two tones: ochre and black demonstrating their friendly match. The dress is luxurious and majestic because of abundant embroidery on puffed airy sleeves and in the front part. Also, because of its design – the dress is long (125 cm), of a straight cut, with a closed décolleté line and sleeves gathered on the wrists with cuffs. It will be an appropriate outfit for a festive occasion or an important meeting. The natural high-end fabric guarantees maximum comfort.
