Natural cotton fabrics are surprisingly comfortable. They do not accumulate static electricity and do not cause allergic reactions. Besides, their ability to be pervious to air and absorb moisture is at an advantage in everyday use.

Cotton vyshyvankas are worn well, washed easily, but one must remember that such a cloth will get dry a bit longer. When washed incorrectly, cotton vyshyvankas can “shrink”, so it is more appropriate to wash them at the temperature of 40°C. They should be ironed at the temperature of 140-170°C. Your cotton vyshyvanka will always look festive, if you provide a proper care of it.

Lawn

Modern Ukrainians choose only the best fabrics. One of such fabrics is lawn – a light natural fabric making clothes look refined thanks to its lightness and translucency. Lawn practically does not rumple, so vyshyvankas always look neat. This fabric is washed well at the temperature of 40°C, gets dry quickly, and does not shrink or lose colour. The only precaution lies in that lawn clothes should be ironed at the temperature of 140-160°C, considering a delicate structure of the fabric and the minimum thickness of the threads used for vyshyvankas.

Silk

Silk vyshyvankas looking festive and elegant, as they are made of a wonderful natural material with a shining play of pattern colours. Silk fabric needs special attention and gentle care. It is better to wash this vyshyvanka by hand, using the detergents with the highest degree of softness. Silk vyshyvanka should be washed in a slightly damp form using the minimum thermal mode of 60-80°C.

Staple

Staple is made from cotton fibres and viscose. Staple vyshyvankas gained wide popularity due to the fact that this fabric does not lose colour, fade in the sun or stretch. It shrinks a bit, but is worn well. In addition, it allows air penetrate through it and has hygroscopic properties. Staple vyshyvankas should be washed at the temperature of 30°C and ironed using the delicate mode. Neither wringing out nor drying in the sun is allowed.

The pattern zone should be washed only on the inner side without steam in order to avoid the damage of the pattern or loss of color.
